Program Overview:
The Clean Food, Dirty Hands (CFDH) program at Pocono Organics welcomes children and families to the farm this fall to learn about where our food comes from and what it takes it to nurture and help plants grow.
Through interactive, hands-on experiences, children of all ages are invited to play and explore in our garden discovery areas where they’ll get to plant, harvest, create and taste.
Garden Planning Fall Series:
This fall the CFDH program offers a 3-part Garden Planning series where participants will learn how to harvest and preserve produce, as well as get to design and plan a real garden in one of the farm’s expansive greenhouses. In addition, classes will include stories, songs, tastings and take-homes.
When: Saturdays 10-11:30AM

Who: Ages 3+
(Younger siblings welcome; All children must be accompanied by an adult)
Cost: $15 per child; $10 per child for families with 3 or more children
October 18- Preserve
In the following session, participants will learn how to harvest and preserve basil through preparing a farm fresh pesto dip. They will get to harvest the basil, help prepare the pesto, design their own pesto label and be able to taste and take home a jar of their own tasty pesto creation.
